This poem is dedicated to my Sister and Friend: Shannon Kelly
Outer Walls
Locked deep inside of even hardcore Brothers
Their outer walls say “Who cares about others?”
The hell with the world, I’ll do it exactly my way.
Something still locked within and will escape one day.
Those outer walls prevent emotion from being discovered.
They stop the love in his heart from being uncovered.
Walls covered with graffiti depicting only his Biker pride.
A false sense of security keeps them still locked up inside.
They will eventually make their way to the outside of his wall.
Their moist presence is natural. He feels it makes him small.
Can he reinforce it with good times, partying and many brews?
The outer wall has to come down to make this condition defuse.
That wall is going to deteriorate until it becomes only a pile of dust.
What is locked inside can be released with only empathy and trust.
They can be unchained with kind words and a hug from a friend so dear.
A great relief to have someone care and allow you to shed many a tear.
