River of Love

Love could be compared to a river in life

One you sail with a partner or wife

Calm and refreshing, a wonderful trip

Helping each other to keep a firm grip

Might be tough when the water is low

One of those rocks could be a bad blow

Let’s wait on the coming rains together

See, normal level and sailing is better

Again, we are lovingly floating downstream

Even after that river had treated you mean

Together, my love, we have made it this far

Me, because you have been my guiding star

Without you I would have simply been lost

Thank you for staying, even at a great cost

In a bad storm, some would have jumped ship

Not you my love, you completed the trip

Our journey has now ended here at Paradise Bay

Only because you endured day after day

I need to thank you for staying my friend

Together we made it to that ole river’s end
